Prescribed the wrong HRT

Hi is there anyone thats experienced this. i had my smear test on Thursday evening i was put on a fast track 2 week appointment. Also told i was on the wrong HRT i was on the combination for 2 years. i went back as i felt that my night symptoms were coming back. i was given everol 75 estrogen only. I was also given a years supply.

The nurse told me i shouldn't be on them as they were for women without a womb. ive have had a lot of bleeding which the nurse says is connected with the parches. she told me thet would be having an internal inquiry to why this happened.

i'm out if my mind with worry waiting for my hospital appointment.

    most of the time the worry is the worst. i have been told twice i need an ultra sound right away, ended up being nothing both times but the worry and concern i went through was terrible. menopause is unbearable but natural. most ladies on here describe horrible symptoms with multiple tests and doctors end up saying its nothing. i hope they sort out your prescription. I'll pray for you. hang in there. ♥♥♥♥

    Hi Claire,

    I don't have experience with the estrogen only patch, but I did have high estrogen at the start of peri, with heavy painful bleeds. I had all the testing, and nothing sinister ever came up.

    The waiting is the worst... can they get you on a call list in case a sooner appt comes open? Not having to wait as long would hopefully ease your mind a bit.

    Why did the doctor give you the wrong HRT? Didn't they know you had a womb? Doctors I just don't trust them! Maybe the appointment is to get you on the right ones .

      hi there the dr's made an error i was on the combined i went back for a higher dosage and shes give me the wrong one.

      i feel so stupid i googled everything about the first set of patches i was on but not these last ones i just trusted the doctor.

      i ended up in A&E a few months ago with a swollen face had to have time off work. i looked horrendous apparently this is a side effect of this patch.

      The nurse was totally shocked. shes put on my referral notes ive been prescribed the wrong HRT. so least the hospital are aware. thank you for replying hope you are well x
