Prescription for Betahistine (not FDA approved)

I have Meniere's and severe vertigo. My doctor mentioned Betahistine as a treatment, but since it is not FDA approved in the US, she will not write a prescription for it. I tried ordering it on-line from a Canadian pharmacy, but they, as well as a local compounding pharmacy, require a prescription. Does anyone have ideas on how I can get a prescription or an on-line pharmacy that will fill a prescription without a written order? Any ideas are much appreciated!
