prescription medication

hi all, my first discussion, so go easy, and if this is the wrong place to ask this question.... sorry in advance. "is it ilegal to take my wife's prescribed iprobruffen 400mg tablets?" if it is illegal, what law am i breaking?

    Brufen (Ibuprofen) 400 mg ??? No it's not illegal but it might be considered immoral wink cheesygrin Go to the Chemists and buy some of your own! cheesygrin

    probably set myself up for that answer . so, what if the medication that she has prescribed is not over the counter? is it illegal?

    To quote Wikipedia "Possession of prescription-only medicines without a prescription is not a criminal offence unless it falls under the Misuse of Drugs Act." smile

    It is not illegal, but as a pharmacist I cannot recommend self-medication with someone else's tablets without consulting a pharmacist or doctor ! They may be suitable for your wife but might not be suitable for you.
