Dear Alan:   Sorry about your troubles.  I have had head presssures for years.  Have tried everything including psychotherapy.  Feels like I have water in my head.   If I cry (something I do very, very seldom, unfortunately) it alleviates it temporarily.  Concentration is difficult  since this pressure takes up so much "thinking",  Of course I look depressed., although I am not.

MEDITATION SORT OF HELPS but not enough.  I have tried repeating "I love you" referring to the head pressure and sometimes it helps.   I guess this is what they call "acceptance".  Am about to ask y doctor for a muscle relaxer to see if it will help.  I take sertraline 50mg which alleviates anxiety, at least.  Sometimes I touch my scalp and it hurts a lot.    I massage a little and it sort of helps.  Ice also applied to forehead.    But nothing permanent.  And I do feel it is incapacitating.  I hopoe we find a cause and  cure.

I live in Netherlands. I've been experiencing just like all of you in this discussion. Headache, Heavy head, dizziness, stiff neck, tight feeling in my forehead for almost 8 months now. Went to neurologist, ent doctor.. Had brain MRI, brain CT, sinus CT, lumbar puncture everything turned up normal.

Because i've been suffering for so long. I decided to went back to my home country (indonesia) and had checked again by neurologist. She asked me to have a cervikal MRI. And WALaaaa... I have straight cervikal, and there is a bulging in C2/C3, C3/C4, C4/C5 and they pressed the nerve in my neck. Now i went for physiotherapy everyday.. And she gave me muscle relaxant. I feel better and better. I hope you all get the answer. And maybe, if you have a stiff neck symptoms as well, it won't hurt to ask your neurologist for cervikal MRI also. Good luck..

Hi, you are very lucky to feel better, think I need to go to where you are as nothing is getting done and 2 years have gone passed.

I was told 2 years ago that after my MRI after I took my self it hospital that they said I had a mini stroke so that was a lot to take in the they put me on blood thinners and I pushed for more test, I had a bubble Eco done and that shows I had a small hole in my heart and maybe a clot when though that. As time went on I had other test done and now just I feel like I have been forgotton about.

A doctor has said I don't think it was a stroke in the end think it is just mirogranes, now I am confused.

One day I will get to the bottom of this

      Hi, Jason

You are not alone, as I thought I was the only person going though this, it's hard I know how hard it is because I have been dizzy for 2 years and when I lay down to go asleep and my head hurts so much and no one as ever work out what that is in the head.

With the dizziness that came on just one day out of the blue and never went. I do cry about it and feel like this is to much then I just need to think I need to stay strong.

One day someone will understand what we have to go through. Seems like they just forget us in the hospital and we have been there and just leave us to it.

Stay strong and get your answers, I am slowly doing it.

    Hi, Alan,

I have only just started to go on here and read people's story's as I am suffering from dizziness for 2 years now. How are you feeling now?

Hi. I've had this condition for around 16 months now. I'm sure with me it's because I have a blockage of my left sphenoid sinus cavity ostia. I bought my CT scan and read it for myself. Specialists deem it clear but I think it's what's causing many like us these symptoms. Do you find that moving and changing direction makes you off balance, also bending or leaning over increases pressure feeling?

Hi, yes I do think that you are right.

I don't seem to be getting any clear answers from my doctor or the hospital so I was sitting here thinking I have saved a little all year for a little holiday I would raver go private and that's my plan. I will get a MRI scan done and check my neck to see for a second look.

My first MRI showed 2 little marks on the brain and I was told I have 2 mini strokes and I was so up set and scared. Then all of a sudden they said it might just be we found that by chance and it might of not been a stoke.

My head when I lay down hurts and I can't sleep well.

It has took me a long time to work this out but it works a bit, so instead of my 2 pillows I use a thin soft one and have my body in line straight and the head seems to feel a bit better so it's got to be something wrong with the next to have all that pain at the back of my head. The pain feels like I am laying on a brick.

When I'm not laying down its like 2 hands pushes at the back of my head all day as well as my dizziness. I feel drunk every day for just over 2 years now. It's very hard to deal with but I'm trying hard to stay stong and it use to get to me to much and I just use to cry, I still do some times. I am glad I have started readying all of the story's on here just shows people really we are not alone as there are other people that are going though a lot to.

    BRAIN FREEZE...

I know how you feel, I have been this way over a year now after waking up like it one weekend, brain fog, head pressure, sore eyes, blurred vision, dizzyness, tried changing deodorant, perfume, diet, acupunture, ears cleaned out, osteopath, you name it, its like a bad hangover every single day, had an MRI, came back clear, currently on 20g of amitripiline, but not helping!

      Hi,

I feel drunk everyday, been dizzy for 2 years. I tryied that tablet and my heart raced to 120 bpm that lasted 2 days so I came straight off and not the doctor said I wouldn't be able to go on any tablets as I am sencertive tired medication seems to be as I tried a few but just make me feel as well as drunk, like on a boat and sick so I would raver settle with my bad dizziness. It's hard but I will find answer one day. I am planning to go private instead as I am not going to be left like this and doctors just forget about me. I hope you and all of us sort the way we feel out. Have a good weekend and keep you might busy as you can you take your mind off of it.

      Jane 🙂
