Pressure issue with Teeth 11 or 12

I have pressure above one of these teeth (my right side, just behind the canine) and some swelling that I can feel with my fingers compared to the other side.  The odd thing is that there's no pain (except for a general tightness).  I thought (at first) that I just had some food caught between the teeth, and I guess that's still possible, but I'm now thinking it might be more serious and I don't recall if I've had a root canal on either one.  Actually, I'm pretty sure I had a root canal on one of these, but not the canine.  As far as the "food caught" theory goes, I finally flossed after having this feeling for awhile and it seemed to make no difference except for my gums bleeding, which always happens when I floss.  I'm writing to ask a few questions:

(1) The key symptom is that when I put pressure above the tightness area, I feel pressure my right sinus.  It doesn't hurt (zero pain), but it is definitely uncomfortable.  Of course, I don't want to lose any teeth.  Has anyone had an issue like this before?

(2) Is it possible to have an abscess on a tooth with a root canal?  I thought that wasn't possible...but maybe I'm wrong.

(3) I've considered flossing every day.  Yeah -- I know, Dentist's recommend it all the time, but I haven't for years and every time I do, my gums bleed.  I have some issues that were made worse by modern dentistry with food getting caught between those teeth.  It usually comes out with regular brushing (which I do), but maybe I need to reconsider my lack of flossing.  Thoughts?

(4) Lastly -- if it's not food or an abscess, what could it be?  Is there any way to fix it with flossing, brushing, or rinsing?  I almost always use mouthwash and at many times - for a long time -- I rinse with a fluoride rinse after brushing.  I don't right now because I ran out of the rinse and keep forgetting to get another bottle, but I did do this for years and it seemed to help with general issues.

Sinus can cause you to feel pressure in the upper teeth, for flossing and bleeding gums try a waterpick flosser , its great at cleaning between teeth, having teeth checked and cleaned every six months is also good, speak to your dentist about gum's bleeding you might need a special kind of tooth paste.
