Pressure on chest and hyperaware of heartbeat

Hi everyone,

As I was settling down to get ready to sleep I started getting that sensation where it feels like your throat is closing up and you can't breathe properly. I'm also now getting a little chest pain and have become hyperaware of my heartbeat. I'm trying to sleep it off but as I start to drift it feels like I will lose the ability to breathe or something bad will happen. I know these are unrational thoughts caused by anxiety but it makes it hard to not worry and then not be able to relax. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Go to YouTube when you feel like that and listen to short meditations on relaxing in proper breathing. That’s what keeps you in control. There is one called mindfulness breathing guided meditation 10 minutes and one called mindfulness guided meditation 10 minutes. Many others to choose from. Practice this A lot.

there’s also other meditations for anxiety, depression, overthinking etc.

    hope you feel better 🌸🌸🌸

What are five things you can see right now?

    Four things you can hear?

    Three things you can touch?

    What can you smell?

Keep doing this over and over.

It’s anxiety. It will pass. Focus on your other senses
