pretty sure I have genital warts? please help

After comparison and & research from pictures online I'm pretty sure what I have are genital warts. It started off as one bump and I thought it was just an ingrown but has now spread a lot and in clusters.
I am getting it checked out in a couple of days by a doctor. My current boyfriend is my first and only sexual partner. I'm currently in distraught and saddened this has happened to me. I'm very afraid of the removal process and if it will be painful. I'm also worried about it affecting my sex life. Sorry for the long rant. I'm currently losing sleep over this and will probably continue to until my appointment ☹

Hiya,
I'm not a doctor or a health professional in anyway so I can't tell for sure if they are but I can give you some info from someone who has them that might help put your mind at rest?
I got genital warts in Feburary and just like you was so upset and stressed about it, thought it was the end of the world. I have spoken to so many doctors and nurses at STI clinics since then (as ive obviously not managed to get an appointment in person since my feburary one due to Covid 19) What they have told me is, that you have to think of it as like any other wart on your body, say your foot or your knee, it just happens to be in a more sensitive area. They are way more common than you think and they can be treated.
I was prescribed Warticon Cream (podophyllotoxin) by my docotor and its either a cream or solution that you apply to the effected area twice a day for 3 days and essentially it burns them off, be careful not to put too much on or to put it on healthy skin because it is really strong stuff. My first course of treament worked but they have come back (which again is normal) and so im doing another course of it right now (you can do it up to 4 times before i think they look at alternative such as freezing them off for example, but again im not entirley sure so dont hold me to that!)
Ultimately, the best thing to do is speak to a professional, explain to them over the phone or if you can in person what it is you have and they will help you. I know its easy to say but honestly try not to stress too much, and know that if it is genital warts that it happens to a lot of people and you will get something that helps
Good luck with everything 😃

These are genital warts. Yours is verucus in nature. Pls do not treat it on your own reason is because you can make a mess of it. Its very unbearable with the sight of it. Just hold on tight till u meet the doctors for best way to remove and treat them. Warty hpv rarely are cancerous unlike HPV 16 and 18.
