Prevent myopia from getting worse while studying

Hi,

I am 25 and I always had perfect eyesight without glasses/contacts, last year I noticed that I had trouble seeing things far away clearly, I went to an optometrician and I have -1.25 left and -1.75 right, I am also in the second year of my University bachelor, so I read alot and sit behind the computer alot. How can I prevent my myopia from getting worse? My myopia developed quite late, as a child/young adult I never needed glasses. My father has reading glasses +1.5, and my mother has slight myopia as well (-1). How can I read alot but prevent my myopia from getting worse? I am a person who always buys books instead of using PDF's, ofcourse reports are made on a computer. And am I at high risk of retinal tears/detachment because my eyeball is longer? And arent your eyes finished growing after 25, or do they keep growing forever?
