Previous gardiasis

Hi .. my friend complains of abdomina pain immediatley after eating a meal regardless of its content ..

She also have gases and abdominal discomfort .

She was previously diagnosed by Gardia (parasite) 6 month ago .. she took metronidazole and finish the course but now the pain is back again ..

What do you guys think ?

Is it gardia again or ulcer after it maybe ?

    Maybe the antibiotics have caused sensitivity and disturbed gut flora.  Yoghurt and other probiotic foods are good for rebalancing good bacteria in the gut.  Your friend could also ask to be rettested for Giardia.

    WOW, it could by many things, best have a endoscopy/enteroscopy to determine the exact cause.  Giardiasis seems to be killed easily but reinfection is also easy.  Take a stool sample in??? As you know treatment is really easy so maybe best to have an other lot of meds but a different type, better then invasive procedures! Your not in the Uk are you??
