Price and availability of bio identical hrt vs. synthetic hrt?

I'm wondering if bhrt is more expensive and/or less available than standard synthetic hrt in different countries?

Hi, not sure about the cost, but I specifically asked my doctor for biodentical hrt as did not want the equine extracted hrt, which I probably would have got if I hadn't asked.

Hi Jackie, I'm wondering if doctors aren't suggesting the bioidentical option as much as the synthetic version.

Have you asked? I specifically requested biomedical and that's what I got. If my request had been declined, I would have insisted being referred to gynae clinic.

Well Jackie, when I finally broke down and requested hrt, my doctor started me on the bioidentical version. I honestly didn't know bioidentical hrt was available in the pill form at that time. I'm just wondering why, according to many posts, some doctors don't seem to be trying to get women on bhrt. (which seems to be safer) I thought maybe it's more expensive, or not as available, or even that doctors are more familar with conventional synthetic versions so they stick with those.
