Pricking Sensation lower legs

Posted , 2 users are following.

I get a strong pricking sensation in little areas (say one inch) on either leg and fairly uncomfortable. Usually when I lie or sit down. If I rub the area it goes away or if I get up and move around. The feeling is quite near the surface. Nothing to see there. Just like a nerve has been pinched say. I do suffer from a bit of trapped nerve in spine used to give leg pain front and back (Femeral and Sciatic nerves).

Any advice appreciated.

If you have known nerve compression issues in your spine, that condition can manifest itself a many ways, from your tingling to full-blown sciatica.  I have been though many episodes over the decades.  Except for a bone spur actually crushing my sciatic nerve root (relieved by a decompressive laminectomy), my chiropractor has always found a way to adjust me and take the pain away.  Sometimes chiro works...sometimes PT works...sometimes only surgery will solve the problem.  I'd start at the bottom and work my way up the ladder with surgery as a last resort.
