Primary oral outbreak, any tips to help the blister heal?

so i just had my first ever cold sore. i know its a primary infection bc my gland/lymphnode under my chin on the left side is swollen. Only the left side of my neck on up is sore and the cold sore is right under my lip toward my left side. any way its a typical outbreak. had blisters, scabs, now the scabs are cracking and falling off but the sore is still weepy. i have taken the initial 2grams of valtrex twice a day for one day, lysine, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, coconut oil. The peppermint oil dried out the blisters fast but now im stuck with a wet scabs and swelling. i also have another very small blister form under this sore. im using abreva as well. i know primary infections are the worst but is there anything else i can do besides wait? im on day 5 and cant see the end in sight. any and all remedies that work for you would be greatly apprectiated.
