Jim, this is an SSRI anti-depressant. Doctors have a tendency to tell patients that they will work within 2 - 4 weeks.
In fact, some of them take 12 weeks to kick in properly.
Don't lose hope. They're starting to work and the doc can up the dose to 100mg if necessary.
You'll be fine.

Actually pristiq is an SNRI and I'm on 50mg now for 5 weeks and I am only feeling slightly better.
Hasn't done much for my anxiety yet. Though you are right about the length of time to get the therapeutic stage.
Although every individual is different. I heard of folks feeling a lot better after a few days.

Yes, you're right - sorry. Pristiq IS an SNRI.
Anyway, keep plugging away and maybe you need to go up to 100mg/
Worth discussing with your doctor.
