    Hi Laurie!

Yes, I take them and they work wonders. I always had a slight issue with IBS, but once peri kicked in, it got worse. I take 2 pills a day (just follow the recommended dose on the bottle) and thankfully things are under control. I find I also can't eat some things I used to without causing issues, so I have had to adjust my diet somewhat and it is for the better.

    Hope this helps!

I take them. They don't seem to help me during that time of the month. I still have gas, bloating and indigestion.  Sorry i couldn't be of any help. I guess it depends on your digestive symptoms and which brand you purchase.

      Jayneejay,

I never heard not to take these with hot drinks. I take mine with my tea or coffee everyday. Maybe I will start taking at night with water before bed. Thanks for the info!

Must admit I use my probiotic drink to take my citalopram tablet and at the moment the antibiotic as well, so hope that OK.

Yes. I don't think it has anything to do with peri, but I get high stomach pains sometimes and a good probiotic knocks it out immediately. The stomach pains are only after eating something sugary, which I shouldn't be eating anyway. I read something about an overgrowth of candida in the digestive tract and that it thrives on processed sugar. I used to get these pains regularly until I cut out all but the occassional sweet treat. I avoid processed foods and I only drink water anymore except for milk with cereal occassionally.

    Laurie,

I take one everyday, it does nothing for my indigestion but it has helped tons with irritable bowel and other bowel issues. I have diverticulosis so I take it to help avoid infections but I definitely have less bowel issues.

Funnily enough I was reading an article about this last week, a good quality probiotic is supposed to be a great help.
