Problems after Labrynthitis

I saw the ENT specialist yesterday checking on the ear problem I had experienced since January although I am much better I still have a slight problem with the ear the MRI seemed quite normal however the ear test I had confirmed I had a hearing loss which warranted a hearing aid  I asked when the ear recovers completely will I get the hearing back definitely not he said I was rather surprised at this I know the ear isn't right but didn't think I had hearing loss he said I had compensated over the past weeks for the loss (weird I thought) He didn't mention much about the condition I had experienced  other than it was probably viral and it can take many weeks recovering. Then as far as the MRI scan a small cyst had been found he said he didn.t know anything about that and it was nothing to do with the ear.I am off tomorrow to see my GP by her request so I am assuming it's about this cyst. If I hadn't had the ear problem I wouldn't have had the MRI and the cyst which is asymptomatic would never have been found. The conclusion on the MRI report it said about the cyst a surgeon would need to be consulted which put the wind up me for a start so roll on tomorrow !!!!!

    Hi Wendy, Ben here,

You did not mention where the cyst was located, perhaps you don't care to, but for me that would be a big red flag.  I would stop what ever I am doing and get profession opinions on it, then blog about it to really flush out the ideas and understanding of it's presence and consequences.  It doesn't belong and it must have some effect upon things because it occupies space that is supposed to be held by something else.  So please take a good look at it and see all there is about it.  Remember: Only you are going to be really concerned about yourself, the rest of us can contribute, buy only you are the one responsible for your future.

    Good luck

    Ben
