Problems eating and drinking

Hi, has anyone else had the sensation that food and water isn't going down your esophagus properly? It's awful, I haven't finished a meal in over a week and I'm seriously struggling to drink water, I take a few sips a day at most which obviously isn't good at all. Food isn't so bad but how do i overcome not being able to swallow water? It's almost like a fear and it's dreadful and the way it goes down terrifies me, sometimes I get weird heart palpitations after a sip (probably due to focusing too much?) but I need help immediately

    Hi

I had this problem and in my case it turned out to be lack of acid in stomach. I took some Betaine and.it resolved after 2/3 days

Do you remember how it felt when you swallowed? It's very hard to describe what I'm feeling

      Hello,

Yes, I remember it but I wouldn't know how to describe it. Just like it sat in throat and wouldn't go down and felt like I was chocking.

I've had this a few times throughout my life and it has always been caused by anxiety, but this last time it was lack of acid.

If you have never had it checked out by a doc maybe you should.

I would say that you should immediately consult a doctor even if the problem continues otherwise lack of eating can cause more harm to your health.
