Problems with extreme heat in my body, palpitations and sleep disorder at nights

Posted , 4 users are following.

When I go to bed most nights now after around an hour, I start to feel hot and the heat in my body just builds and builds. My minds is racing and I have palpitations. I am then unable to sleep. I need to use a fan even when the room is really cold. It is as if I am burning up from a fever but I don’t have a cold or flu. If I don’t take a sleep supplement, I could be in this state until 2am. During this time I don’t sweat. I am just roasting hot. The next day I sweat profusely. I take quite a number of supplements. I am in my sixties and long past menopause. I don’t drink, have the occasional coffee. Don’t take drugs or other stimulants. I am pretty desperate now. Any suggestions welcome.

    hi roslyn

i know im late to this comment but just in case you get this,.I totally identify with your experience. I too am post menopause. 53 years old. In post around 1.5 to 2 full years now. I have no advice, only compassion.

Meno was worst thing I have had (and life has been ROUGH on me). Sleep through menopause (pre, during, post) has been horrendous. Insomnia is a pure living hell.

Roasting hot (not hot flashes or sweats), exhausted to breaking point, palpitations, adrenaline, horrid. Ive tried literally every (not exaggerating) hormone/herb/lifstyle routine/therapeutic thing out there and 23 doctors/acupuncture/specialists/etc. The chemistry of aging (certainly in women!!!), is one tough misery to cope with. hope you find a little peace. Youre not alone.
