Problems with muscles after Total Knee Replacement

Posted , 1 user is following.

I had a TKR nearly two years ago. There is no problem with the Replacement knee (2 consultations) but I am in a lot of pain above the knee.

It feels like I am wearing a tight pair of shoes.

It feels like the muscle has collapsed and was injured in surgery.

I have the pain at rest or when walking.

If I pull the muscle flap back I have no pain and I can walk normally.

I have had over 100 physio sessions, I swim, walk and exercise to try and rebuild muscle around the knee but without success.

There is no point returning to the orthopeadic surgeon so I wonder what type of specialist would deal with muscles and nerves?
