Proctalgia fugax

The only method of relief is through breathing and intense meditation. I find it is brought on purely through stress amd the canal spasms once the bowel is completely empty. Episodes occur in the early hours of the morning . It starts off as a dull ache and becomes progressively worse until one feels they cannot bare the pain. It is classified as acute and there are no meds that can help. My episodes last up to an 1hr and I have learn't over the years that the only way to treat the pain is to totally zone out into a meditative state. The pain will pass .. learn to breath it's the only way.

It always occurs in the evening after a bowel movement..
It radiates to my lower back and lasts for hours at a time. It interferes with sleep..
I am post op Botox for a large fissure for the past 3 months.
My guess is the fissure is still there along with external hemmorhoids..
I have tried nitroglycerin ointment / preparation H, coconut oil and sitz baths.
The next appointment I will make is with the colorectal surgeon who did the botox...
Really interfering with my life.....
Any other suggestions would be welcome!!
