PROCTALGIA FUGAX DISCUSSION

I have suffered from this condition since 2000 since the age of 28. This could be genetic as my mother and son suffer the same episodes. They have always lasted 30mins (seldom for less than this time). Last night, I woke from my sleep with increasing pressure and discomfort in my lower abdomen (feeling of intense pressure around the top of the pubic bones) and it moved (like a whirlwind) to my rectum where I had a a PF attack. I have always felt this "slight" abdominal discomfort before, but never as severe as last night. I usually meditate and breathe through the pain but last night the attack was unbearable. What concerns me is the increase in discomfort starting around my bladder, lower abdominal area first! Does anyone else experience this?
