Proctalgia Fugax pain relief that works for me

As I’m getting older the episodes are becoming more frequent. fortunately for me i stumbled across some medication that works every time. Hyoscine Butyl-bromide. In Australia its marketed as Buscopan Forte which is used for stomach cramps.

One night i was so desperate for some form of pain relief i thought I'd try paracetamol but I'd run out. Seeing the packet of Buscopan I figured I'd have nothing to lose by giving one a try. Within five minutes the pain was gone. Now, as soon as i feel a spasm start, i take a tablet and it stops it right in its tracks. Every single time. I make sure i have a packet with me always on hand

i have nothing to gain financially by naming the brand name which is why I've also listed the scientific name. Its no doubt marketed under different names by other companies.

it works so well i no longer live in fear of having an episode.

i hope it works for others too.
