Proctitis and IBD

I was diagnosed with Proctitis around 2013 after a long period of been told nothing was wrong with me. Eventually after a second flare up and another camera they decided I had proctitis. Anyway this was treated with steroid and mesalazine. After about six months I went into remission. This lasted around two years. I've been on mesalazine ever since getting diagnosed and under clinic. About 3 months ago my symptoms started again but I just got the additional suppositories through my gp and they helped. Then a few weeks ago my symptoms started again, I carried on regardless as I always do. But Sunday my symptoms were worse than ever going to the toilet around 20times, with bleeding and mucus. It carried on yesterday so I contacted my clinic, they got back to me this morning. I explained my symptoms and how bad it had been but today it was not bad. I was told to go to hospital, spoke to Gastro dr and he told me I needed iv steroids. However they admitted me to amu and then a general dr saw me, I told him the same and told him today it was not as bad. He did not want to put me on steroids, got another Amu dr to check me and he agreed. They did a blood test which came back normal. The dr told me my bloods were fine and did not show anything that would indicate a flare up of IBD and that if someone who had been to the toliet so many times in the two days prior. He discharged me and sent me home. Although my symptoms are not bad today compared to the last few days I feel as though I have been told I'm a liar and that I have imagined the last few days. Is it possible my bloods be normal and not reflect my condition. Have others experienced this? I feel like a fraud. I was made to feel like this when it all started happening. Sorry I'm not sure if this is what this is supposed to be for but was just looking for some support. I'm going to talk to my IBD nurse specialist in the morning.

Your have every right to be angry i would be too. If I was you I would keep going back to your GP and keep questioning them if you feel something is going on more sinister then ask for more tests.
Keep us updated hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for your reply, I have done some different tests. Awaiting results. My Consultant has started me on steroids after things got worse again and I'm awaiting further tests.
At least they are helping me now. Hopefully the steroids will start to work quickly. I don't know why I feel I need validation. I know my body and know things have got worse but feel like I need the tests to reflect this. I think it's because I believe its spread and just want them to confirm this.
Thanks
Take care
