just wanted to add a note on this site, my daughter is 15 years old, she suffered back pain for 4 months, our doctor telling her she had a pulled a musle in her back, she tried to get on with her life, eventually the pain worsened and she was admitted to hospital as an emergency from A&E, evetually whilst in hospital, she was given an MRI scan, we were told they didnt expect to find anything, but the results showed that she had a pro-lasped disc, they operated 3 weeks later and gave my daughter her life back. The specialist told us he had never diagnosed or operated on someone so young.

unfortunatly i am now 29 and in a worse state now than ever having just had my 4th op earlier this year. i am now considering going elsewhere for another opinion as i am in more pain than i was before the op, which is really saying something.
i dont know what my options are now, i only know that i cant spend the rest of my life in this pain, it has already took soo much of my life already. i've heard of an op know as a fusion, which is only done as a last resort, thats where im at now and so will be looking into futher surgery, at this point i'd honestly try anything

Hi i am a 50yr old female, i had a prolapsed disc at the age of 12yrs old, this wasn't diagnosed until a year later. I had surgery to remove it and led an active life until 38yrs old when i ruptured another disc. Surgery had progressed by then and i only had to have the second disc trimmed. Now at 50 years old i am unfortunately showing the symtptoms again. Fingers crossed i wont need more surgery.
