Hi Emma, I so know how your feeling, I have been a carer for 3 years and I love my jod then i prolapsed my disc whilst pushing a wheel chair at work and have been off sick ever scince that was 12 weeks ago now, Im waiting for a spinal nerve block x ray guided but in the mean time im to left wondering about the future, However my specialist said something the other day that gave me hope ; This condition disables an athlete, But with the right treatment, not forever. I think that can give anybody a bit of hope, well it did me. He also said that once treatment is sort the more active you are the better the chances of this happening again and after one year you are at no higher risk than anybody else. Anyway I hope you get better soon and back to work. take care.
