Prolapsed bladder

my Gynae has given me the opportunity to have pelvic floor repair sacrospinous fixation and vaginal hysterectomy. We have tried ring pessary and shelf pessary which have fallen out. i imagine that the soreness and discomfort i am having is the cause of the prolapse but as I will be 85 by the time the op occurs I am having second and third thoughts. I would be grateful if anyone has had the same op, what are the pros and cons and, which is very unlikely, if anyone nearer my age age has gone anead with it.
