prolonged dizziness after vestibular migraines

Hi all,

After suffering from suspected Labyrinthitis and BPPV a couple months ago, my specialist has now diagnosed me with Vestibular Migraines. I was finding that after my initial diagnosis of Labyrinthitis, I kept going backwards. I'm now off work again recovering from extreme exhaustion and dizziness.

I know these attacks can occur frequently but can anyone advise up to how long it can take to get over the dizziness and nausea? It seemed to take weeks to get over my first attack and my most recent was a week ago and I'm still struggling. I do have some complications, the first that my left ear does not function after historical damage 15 years ago (cholesteatoma), secondly I have recently been diagnosed with stress (due to a litigation process I'm in against my employer). I'm also concerned that I may have Meniere's disease as I've read the symptoms are similar.
