Prolonged Headache

So I went to the doctor two weeks ago now, I have had a headache for the past month. Pressure in my head, ears feel kind of clogged, eyes itch and I've been sneezing a good bit especially in the mornings.

Thing is my headache never goes away. It hasn't affected my sleep thankfully. I can function but I don't feel good. Things that I enjoy I don't feel like doing at the moment. I have done a little research on cervogenic headaches, and think this may be part of the issue as my neck is pretty stiff. I am thinking of going back to the doctor and requesting an MRI, though when I was there last he said nothing that I said indicated anything nuerological, one thing about it I am getting tired of dealing with it every day. He prescribed some fioricet, it seems to take the edge off but the headache and pressure are still there no matter what I do.

Anyone have any thoughts at all here?

    Hello RustyDaDog

I have the same symptoms, neck MRI won't show anything, I have done neck MRI, CT scan, they just say it's fine, I'm suffering from from this headache and neck pain over 10 years, I guess It's something related to nerves.

I diagnosesd with vestibular problem, I don't remember the name exactly but that that what the doctor said and all I got is treatments that I have to tacke it for a long time.

Please be careful of chiropractors. I saw one who promised he could rid me of this daily headache which I've had for 20 years and it made me worse and £ 500 poorer.

These people are trying to treat something they know nothing about.

My advice is to get referred to a neurologist who with some persuasion will refer you to a headache specialist.

I am now seeing a Doctor whose first advice was to stop taking pain killers citeing medication overuse.

It has taken several months off them but I am starting to feel better at last.

so for you maybe try that first.

have you had an allergy test? Since you got the headache, can you think of something that could give you an allergy?

I am very sensitive to some artificial sweeteners, some people can get a headache from chocolate or cheese. Some people are affected by pollen and some pet hair. It could also be from a fragrance or cleaning chemical or a smoky environment.
