Prominent thigh pains

Posted , 4 users are following.

I am suffering from body pains since January. It triggered after severe health anxiety scare i had of MS due to anxiety symotoms like numbness, pins snd needes, crawling ants, heavy legs etc.. kast year.

Now I dont suffer from any of thus. Except for headaches and random body aches. But of all the pains thigh osin ismore prominent . I feel it on 20 days in a month atleast 5 -6 times daily

Thigh pain varies from outer upper thigh to lower thighs.

I dont suffer from fatigue, fibro fog, weakness. I have good 8 hrs sleep.

So can consistent pain for 8 months in a row qualify for a fibro case.

I have been to so many doctors, had so many tests without a closure.

Please help me?? Is this fibro??

I dont see a light at end of tunnel, thinking of worse.

Also I recently got promoted at work, love my job. I would like to work atleast for next 5-7 yrs

Have you been to a Rheumatologist? They are the ones to diagnose Fibro, Doesnt sound like anything serious to me. Your anxiety will make it worse but I know it is very easy to have anxiety when you are scared as to what might be wrong. All in all it seems like you are doing pretty good with no serious pain. Just exercise, watch your gluten and sugar intake, and eat healthy as you can.

      Hi Geena,

Thanks for responding. Yes, I have been to a rheumatologist. He did tests for autoimmune disorders like ANA. All clear. Took vitamin deficiency tests. They are clear too.. Last year I went through a major MS health scare. Followed by panic attacks. I guess the stress i had gone through had trigerred this pains.

I hope this is not fibro. But i do get vision bluriness sometimes and vague upper lip numbness.

The thigh pain is interfering with day- day life. Cant even enjoy my work due to pain. If pain persists I will go to a rheumi again.

I hope never ever goes through this.

Exactly same symptoms. I also did MRI test to rule out Multiple Sclerosis. Which test have you done for MS rule out?

My symptoms also increase when I am under stress, or don't get much sleep at night. My pain also subsequently reduced gradually from month to month since the first flare-up which was random paresthesia all over the body which comes and go.

I did ECG, NCV, EMG, Doppler, Stress ECG, MRI (Brain/Spine/C-Spine), 1000's of blood test. Everything came normal except Vitamin-D which was 13. And yes, Vitamin D might also be cause of muscle pain. So, I am on Vitamin-D dose as well as cyclobenzaprine for muscle relaxant. I was diagnosed as Fibro by my rheumatologist.

I would love to hear which tests you did.

Neurologist did a manual test, like eye check, movement check, aura check.. Also had brain and neck MRI, which is clear.

I also took high dosage of vitamin D intravenous ly. Now vit d levels are good.

I think our pains all resulted due to anxiety and stress.

Which areas of your body ache. Mine is thighs, bicep and hip.

How did you get your fibro diagnosed. Did you pass the pressure test to have around 10 tender spots distributed across 4 quadrants of body.

It might not be fibro. I am also checking in adrenal fatigue, but i do t really suffer feom fatigue. Only pains..

I pray I get rid of these pains. Because 3 yrs back, I had similar pains with neck for almost 1.5 yrs. Now I am pain free in that area from 1 yr.

Fingers crossed snd hoping for the best.

I again started yoga since few days. Which helped my neck pain.

Mine started with hand. It was a weird sort of pain sensation which I had never encountered before. It felt like it came from Inside the body. It used to come and go, but in my case I had a very stressful week which flared up those symptoms. Now, I face such pain in whole body which comes and go for like 1-2 minutes. But my both hands are the most affected as it sometimes even stay persistent throughout the day / week. It has reduced when I don't do stressful activities like achieving some target, typing a lot, getting angry etc.

Mine is exactly same, I get more pain when I am stressed.

How old are you?? Do you believe you have fibro,?

I'm 22. I don't believe that I have fibro because I haven't done tender point test yet. But one ortho and one neuro told me fibro. How about you

I'm 29. I to dont have tender points. I believe it all started for me due to stress, anxiety and trauma.

If I change my mood, it gets better.

      Hi Rudy,

Just curious does your pain vary based on weather conditions. I get more pain , when its cold

Ditto. Mine gets worse when it is cold as well. In Hot weather, although I get increased twitches. That might be due to dehydration possibly

No Matter how my mood is, the pain comes and goes. It takes atleast 3-4 relaxed days before the pain turning out lesser compared to stressful days. Also, a good night sleep helps for me.
