Hi all  I have been taking this tablet now for my 4th week, I have had a lot of teething problems BUT this week was my due date for my periods and usually for 2 days I get almighty migrane's but this tablet has most definitely helped just cut to a headache Nothing at all what I used to experience!!!. I have heard a lot of people not likeing this drug But for me it has helped and will continue taking it, right so I have a question for 4 weeks I have been taking Half Beta Progranne80mg, but called to pick up a new prescription and have been given Bedranol is this the same drug? .

Yes it's the same thing just a different brand name. Propranolol are really effective, I decided to stop taking them and I have had lots of headaches since.

    Hi Michelle

I can't say if it's the same but it might just be a different brand of the same drug.

I was prescribed propranalol for the same reason as you and I too found it made a tremendous difference to my migraines.

I took it for several years but never connected my weight-gain with the drug. From reading around on this forum I discovered that is quite a common side affect for women. Like you, I wouldn't have stopped taking it because it helped with the migraines so much but I think I would have kept more of an eye on diet and exercise to counter the weight gain. Eventually I was switched to something else because of other health issues and my weight has dropped again.

      Hi Killed

Do you mind if I ask you what the alternative medication to Bedranol were you put on?

I was on Inderal La for. Many years. It has ceased being made and I'm trying to find a good one to replace it with.
