Have just been given 10mg dose of propranolol to help with night time panic attacks. I wake up very hot with sweaty palms after having pins and needles in my hands and fingers. I then go on to have a racing heart.
My concern is that my resting heart rate is about 69/70 normally and I am worried about how low my heart rate will go on the tablets. I am a relatively fit 59 yr old female.

What you are describing isn't necessarily a panic attack. What tests did your doctor give you before prescribing propranolol?

I’ve had no tests.Just back on fluoxitine for anxiety
