    Hello,

I can completely understand your fear so I will share my story and it may help. I am suffering with really bad migraines and they were getting more frequent lately - I had on average two to three days a week when I had a migraine and fell horrible. I got prescription for 80mg propranolol and it took me two weeks to talk myself into taking it - it is very difficult to commit yourself to take medicine every day for indefinite lenght of time. I have been on it for 3 months now and there were no side effects so far, but the change in my life is immense. The number of migraines gradually decreased, but the main change was what came with it - the time that I could actually spend living normal life without feeling sick. I also started to sleep better - I didn't realise before how bad my sleep was. I used to feel tired and stressed all the time and that's gone as well. I am starting to believe that the migraines are result of all that bad sleep and stress, but I couldn't start working on changing that while having the migraines. So while I am on propranolol, I have started to eat more healthily and do more excercise. I am also not taking any other painkillers that I used to fill my body with when I had a migraine. And once I get rid of the underlying stress, I will go off propranolol and I believe my migraines won't come back.

Hi Shorty, my anxiety was getting out of hand. I'd stopped having the severe attacks that I had now and again but I was having minor attacks usually on a daily basis.  My GP gave e propranolol and the change was amazing.  I had no attacks for 3 weeks, now I just have the odd minor one now and again
