Propranolol for anxiety and heart palpitations

Hi there I have really bad anxiety over my heart because I have been getting skipped heart beats and heart palpitations for over a decade. I've had tests done and everything is normal my doctor has prescribed me propranolol 10mg and I'm so scared to take them because I feel I will have no control over my heart if I take them my heart anxiety gets me really down I'm constantly aware of my heart 24/7 which has caused me to have depersonalisation for over a decade 😐

Hi Pamela, I take Propranolol 10mg as needed for palpitations which are my lingering symptom of anxiety, I also take AD's. I was really worried also to start with, but they were fine. With me, they seem to quieten down my heartbeat which obviously helps. They give me a dry mouth and I feel a little more tired but if I take one it's during the evening before bed. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Same problems as you, but I did take my meds. I take Nadolol 10mg a night. I still have heart palpations, but when I go into panic mode over my heart it doesnt race like it would if I wasnt taking them. Try them out and see if it helps.
