Propranolol heart rate after stopping

HI everyone

I was on propranolol 40mg x2 daily for round 3 weeks but was told to come off it because it was dropping my heart rate resting went from 67-70 to 50-52 and sometimes dropped to 48-49. When I stopped, I had chest pains and palpitations but bloods, xray and ECG were all fine.

I have now been off the medication for 2 weeks and am still finding that my RHR drops into the 50s. I was feeling a bit light-headed (not sure if this is due to currently weaning off citalopram) and spoke to my GP. he wasn't concerned about my heart rate being lower(he asked why I was worried about my RHR being in the 50s) even though I told him I'm not exactly as fit as i should be and said the medication may have altered my hearts receptors.

Has anyone else experienced this and did your heart rate go back to "normal"?

thanks
