That isn't really true. You can have a 3T MRI done and it will show if there is something to worry about or to biopsy. Don't be roped into a blind biopsy. I would insist on an MRI for myself, before ever going through a biopsy. Just my two cents.

PSA checks are worthless so do not base your chances of having prostate cancer on a PSA check. All men at some time in their life will have prostate cancer, which is slow growing. Doctors try to scare you into a quick treatment and are losing money when you say NO. My dad had Prostate cancer for 10 years and did nothing and when pain in bones arrived the last year he took pain killer. Lived to almost 90 years old. I at near 85, also do nothing for the cancer and it has not moved to any bones after 6 years. My youner brothers , one had died after he took radiation and hormone tratments for a very low grad prostate cancer, The raidiation caused him to gain weight, over 40 pounds last year.Other borther had his prostate removed (also a low grade cancer) and now it has come back in other areas. My doctor says to keep my weight at over 215 lbs so can hold off problems when I don't want to eat much.

Not all men will get prostate cancer, But THEY are at risk for developing prostate cancer. (About one man in six will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime.)
It is true some prostate cancer is slow growing, but some are agressive and and will kill you!
Every one is different, so you cannot just say do nothing when PSa is detected. Some will have non aggressive cancer, some will have agressive cancer. You can tell your story to others, but you cannot expect every one with PCa to be the same.
We are not Doctors in here, we can give advice from our own experiences, share information etc...So, my advice is do your own research, and determine what best for you on an individual basis.

You are spot on!
A biopsy should follow a 3T MRI because the MRI will, without any discomfort at all, indicate if there is anything to worry about.
A good prostate specialising radiologist studying the MRI images will assign a PIRADS score to any area of suspicion. If your score is low eg 2 then don't bother with a biopsy, which should never be considered without understanding what can go wrong with it.

1. There is a strong indication that you have PCa (not to be able to feel the median sulcus differentiates PCa from benign hyperplasia as does unevenness)
2. Your PSA is low, but that in itself means nothing
3. A blind biopsy is crazy nowadays - even if you hve a sizeable tumour it can be missed.
4. A 3T mpMRI should be the next step. It will confirm (or otherwise) the presence of a tumour; it will also stage it; it will form the template for a successful biopsy.
5. If MRI confirms PCa you should have the biopsy (based on the MRI template) - this will give you a Gleason score and tell you how aggressive the cancer is (ie how fast to act or whether to watch and wait)
6. Note that if you delay the MRI by a year or so and the cancer is alreasy growing out of the capsule (prostate) the delay may regrettably limit your options - it is worth getting the MRI done soon. The earlier you catch it, the more options you have.

When doctors check my prostate by feel they say it is fine. Has grown all into the bladder.so check my bladder inside to check it. The 12 cores began to bleed after 3 months so they went in the bladder and carterized them, no problems since over 5 yars.

Your decision making process in my opinion is perfect.
The chance that at 79 a recently discovered potential prostate problem will lead to cancer and will be the reason you did is remote.
A host of other ailments and circumstances will most likely get you before the cancer does. To subject a person say aged 75 or so to major treatment is in my opinion, scandalous. As is some doctors' insistence on regular PSA checks for men who never exhibited prostatic problems.
Keep well. You are doing what I believe the best doctors would recommend.
