Prostate Cancer Medication

Hello, everyone! It’s very nice to meet all of you. I’m 63 and am about to begin some prostate cancer treatments. The doxorubicin they’re prescribing me seems manageable price-wise. They’re telling me that I should also look into Viagra to go with the doxorubicin. My issue is that I’m not making a lot of money, right now, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how I can save some money. Unofficially, my Dr. suggesting looking into alternatives such as “generics” and gave me some reassurance that Canadian pharmacies might be a good option but I’m very nervous about getting into something I know nothing about and risking my health. Does anyone happen to have any insight about this, or has anyone ordered from any of these sources? Please let me know as soon as possible. Feel free to message me privately if you prefer that to posting publicly. Thank you so much for your time, support, and allowing me to join such a great group of people for my own education.

god bless the NHS in the UK because at no time in my treatment has cost been part of the discussion. The only price sensitive subject was the daily low dose Viagra suggested by my Surgeon. My GP was brilliant and prescribed it for approx six months. at that time I had had a radical prostatectomy and was on Casodex. I explained to him that there was no response, them mind was willing but the body was week. Following radiotherapy and Zoladex implants even the mind part disappeared. Since have found out that nerve damage is the main reason that erections are not possible, maybe this repairs over time but we are all different.
you have to do what is right for you and your budget.
Hope this helps

would be interested in the 'Alternate' medicines when you get some info.
Why are you paying for the treatment your being perscibed?
you say your 63, that means you should be getting your treatment free.
In my own case i'm on monthly hormone injections (I have non-operable prostate cancer) and it seems to be keeping things at bay (& I'm told should continue to do so for 2-3 years, maybe longer) and the point is I don't pay for it. I to am 63.
Unless you've recently moved to the UK I would seriously ask some questions. Also, I'm told Macmilan can help financialy.
Keep your chin up
regards Foxy

The generic will be the same as the branded item, be advised though even the branded drugs like viagra dont work for every one.
