Three yrs ago I was diognosed with Prostate cancer.I had the Bi opsy and the readings. I decided not to have treatment, instead I looked the subject up on the internet. I declined treatment and opted to have check ups every six months. I saw on the internet that eating dark chocolate and drinking pommegranit juice provided the ani bodies to helpstop the problem progressing. So far it seems to have worked for me as my latest reading is said to be normal @5-63 down from 25.something. I would welcome comments, please.

I am still experiencing a dropping reading every 6 months. In 3 yrs it has gone from a PSA reading of 5.+ up to 8.+ and ahs dropped back to 7.+ and the specialist wants to see me only every 6 months if it stays arround that reading. I told him I was still eating dark chocolate and drinking pommegranit juice as it has the anti bodies in it and he said he didnt think it helped, but I do and will continue. Also I drink a lot of filtered water and my water flow is great, on tea and coffee etc its very poor.

I am still eating very dark chocolate but have gone onto Blueberry juice. My current reading is PSI 10 down from 12Plus. Im not required to see the specialist for another 3 months I have now had the problem for 6 yrs. This happens often, its set at 6 months but the reading doesnt get too high so my appointment is cancelled, hence 3 months. I am on Tamulosin capsules and I seem to manage only taking one every other day, my urine flow is about normal so think I must have an enlarged Prostate. Its a case of live with it or die with it, cancer that is. I will shortly be 78 yrs old.

I think it is a great news if it works for you.But I still believe you should suggest to an expert.Because you do not treat it early it can be fatal. If you want to try something at home you can try natural medicine like prosvent.I think it is a great alternative.

    Thanks

Hi oldsalt, Welcome ashore and into this forum. I am delighted you are holding back progression. I am interested in diet as a key patient input to health in suport of medical treatment (including watchful waiting). I started a discussion entitled 'Dietary Points'.  Chocolate I have recently learned of and I now make my own. I use organic cocoa butter, organic cocoa, organic vanilla powder and organic agave syrup as sweetner. It is delicious and I believe healthful with a positive impact on PCa. My wife has found a supply of organic pomogranit juice in glass bottles so that has very recently been added to my diet. Many thanks for your text. It is both instructive and encouraging. Both are needed for us  PCa chaps and our partners.
