Prosthesis related impingement at the ITB plus significant LCL thickening.

I had TKR some 19 months ago and have suffered what I can only describe as extreme pain caused by something scraping against raw flesh when I bend at the walk. I can bend when sitting, straighten etc but as soon as I put weight on by walking this scraping/rubbing occurs and I cannot endure walking for long. I have at long last been allowed an ultrasound with the above result. Up until now my consultant has dismissed my worries and urged me to exercise which has not helped at all. Has anyone else had this occur & is there any option other than a full revision of the TKR

Oh no I’m so sorry that you experienced this I just we had double knee replacement and I didn’t have any issues at all but have you reached out to another specialist to see what they say because you shouldn’t be having problems like that if you haven’t I would definitely reach out to another specialist and then get your new your MRI or your CAT scan and bring it with you to your new appointment good luck I hope you start to experience some good and then not this terrible experience you’ve been having

Thanks for your reply and I am getting a second opinion & various x- rays. I was hoping that someone on this forum might have experienced something similar and learn what their consultants response was. Seems like I am quite unusual!
