Prozac and sex drive.

I was on Prozac for 16 years, a dose of 60mg per day for depression and anxiety. In October 2020 my GP weaned me off them and substituted with Venlafaxine, and I am taking 225mg per day.I have read the side effects of Prozac, and it decreases sex drive and libido, which in my case reduced to zero over the 16 years. Early in my treatment I didn't find it an Issue, because I felt well mentally, and was not in a relationship, so it really didn't crop up as a problem. I have now been in a relationship for a few year's and initially the issue wasn't a problem, but now my partner is getting increasingly frustrated, and in fairness to her, I am considering ending the relationship in fairness to her.

I have recently read that Prozac can cause permanent impotence after some studies were done, even after coming off the drug. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, would they have any advice on a way forward? I have been off Prozac now for 5 months, and as stated I now take Venlafaxine 225mg. I have absolutely no desire or sex drive, but I am 65 (and so is my partner) and I accept some of the libido issues could be as a result of just getting older. But given the fact that I was on Prozac for 16 years, is it time to say goodbye to that side of my life???

Any help/experiences would be helpful.
