prozac/venlafaxine nation

ive been on anti depressants for the best part of 20 years. Outwardly im a fully functioning mother and teacher. id been at the max dosage of prozac for a couple of years so my doctor suggested i change my meds to venlafaxine. Ive steadily increased the dose to 150 mg and they re still not working. but i sweat profusely, i can't lose weight despite being a health conscious vegan ( im overweight, I'm fat) and if i go more than a couple of days without them, my skin feels tingly, im low as hell and im questioning the point in everything. Is anyone else like this? ( i can't get my new prescription until tomorrow and that's 72 hours withdrawal)

ive been on 150 mg since January. No, i didn't taper the fluoxetine, i was put up and up on it. i saw a locum Gp who suggested changing meds so straight away i came off 60 mg of fluoextine and went on 75mg of venlafaxine. after the initial spaced out getting into my system, i didn't think they'd made a difference so they increased to 150 mg which ive had on repeat. I don't find it effective but when ive missed a couple of days i feel like s**t so i guess they must be doing something? i also can't stand the nausea and tingling after a couple of days of not taking it. the sweating is becoming embarrassing but i don t know whether that is the drugs or because ive hit 40 and the ol' hormones are kicking in. between that and the weight gain though, i feel crap.
