PRP in shoulder - still pain and not full mobility after 6 1/2 months?

I had 4 PRP injections in my shoulder in mid-November 2020. They were to try to fix 2 problems I was having with very specific arm movements. I was pain-free except when I tried to reach down and forward (like reaching into the back of the dishwasher) and when rolling my whitewater kayak. I had two prolotherapy injections with no issues at all - but they didn't help. So I had PRP. Imagine my horror when the numbing meds wore off and I was in excrutiating pain - in my bicep - that night and for the next 6 weeks I was unable to sleep throught the night without waking up multiple times in pain. It's been 6.5 months now and I'm still not back to where I was before I got the injections. I'm afraid I never will be. I've been doing PT (very hands-on, deep tissue massage and stretching) and a month ago I started getting acupuncture. It's been helpful but I am so frustrated. I never would have done this if I thought there was a chance it would make things worse. I've been back to my doctor 3x since then and he has not been very illuminating about what's going on, what went wrong, etc. It's hard to find info on "PRP gone wrong" so I've felt like kind of a freak for having this experience. Anyone else have a similar experience? Can anyone offer me some hope?
