psa anxiety

64 years old,prostate and lymph nodes removed 8/15 gleason 4+3=7...slight margin at nerve at right side, followup with 7 weeks radiation...everything was clear of PC cells, so localized..psa on 9/15 was .04, 12/15 was .08, 3/16 was .01 now 6/16 is .04What are

non-biological reasons for psa levels to rise...pat

    These are microscopic readings and at this level I would imagine that any variance would more likely be due to reading the score rather than an underlying trend. Also, the readings do not indicate a trend - since the highest reading there have been two readings which are substantially lower.

    ​As for non-biological reasons, I assume you mean non-cancer reasons of which there are many - sexual activity, exertion, changes in blood pressure. These are good readings Pat, take heart.

    I wouldn't stress about it just yet. I think you should do a complete comprehensve set of tests to put your mind at ease. Good luck and you will succeed!
