Psoriasis on hands-help!

Posted , 3 users are following.

I am 21 and have had psoriasis since i was 19. I manage to control it using hydromol moisturiser and wrapping myself in cling film for a few hours when it get's particularly bad. My question is about the psoriasis on my hands. It is my worst bit and obviously very noticeable, making me very self conscious. Soap makes it worse, i was told not to use anything that bubbles on my skin but i need to be able to wash my hands! Does anyone have any products they could recommend?

Hi Katie sorry to hear that you also suffer with psoriasis I have had the same problem with what to bath /wash in .most soaps make my skin bright red and angry I don't know if this would help but I have evolved into using my body shop ginger shampoo in the bath and shower ,maybe if you diluted it right down for hand washing may be worth a go Katie it seems all about trial and error.on another note I have given up tomatoes (night shades) seems to help me just a thought . Good luck Katie
