I have had three flare ups, the worst this week just a week before my daughters wedding in Italy. I checked everything symptom and had it. I am doing my due diligence and definately decided to opt out of normal treatment like humira and Embren.Any drug that depresses your immune system further could of be good. Just so you know not a fan she f chemo and radiation. The answer lies in a holistic approach and there are no magic bullets but I do think Dr Max Gersons cancer therapy fifty case histories since candidiasis, immune disorders cancer RA and psoriatic arthritis seem to have common denominators. I can tell you in taking the holistic approach you sometimes have to be prepared for things to get worse before they get better. Amen can tell you that some vitamin s like wobezyme serrapeptase probiotics Ahcc vitamins n c niacin can ease symptoms.

PsA is caused by an overactive immune system that can affect joints, tendons and nerve shieves. It also speeds up the skin regeneration hence all the flakes of skin that floot and drop around our chairs etc

I am unable to take DAMARD Medications because of side affects and also Specialists in the UK will not give Biologics when Damards have a negative affect..

Hopefully you have been seen by varous hospital departments and have been prescribed medications for your arthritis. like NSID and Pain medications.

Have you tried a TENS Machine, they can be purchased from the internet or some Chemists. I use BODY CLOCK they have a good selection of machines you could try. In fack you may get some assistance and a Twin channel machine from a Pain Clinic or PHYSIO, whole will train yu in its use.

Contact PAPAA the Psoriatic Arthritis Alliance they are a charity who deal with all problems associated with Psoriasis, skin and joint.

Dear Border, I try to avoid most conventional medicine because of the side effects. They do the very thing you want them not to do block your immune system. I try to read up on the latest enzyme therapy.while you live in UK these are still available. Suggest you look up AHCc, wobezyme and serrapeptase. On google. They aim towards reducing inflammation. I have used tens unit with limited results.

      Hi Kim,

I posted this elsewhere, but wanted to share what worked for my topical psoriasis. It was affecting my groin, chest, back, arms, and neck. Now it's mostly gone.

Here's what made a big difference for me: Viva Naturals Omega Fish Oil -- one 2,200mg capsule each morning with breakfast and another each night with dinner. I've been bathing with a sulfur soap, applying it directly to my spots, but I think the fish oil has been the real difference maker.

It took me about 4-6 weeks to really see the changes start to happen with the 2X a day fish oil.

It's not just a matter of easing symptoms, it's also about stopping the spread of the disease.   All of the PsA/RA meds have side effects, it's a matter of choosing what is the worst:   side effects of meds or symptoms of PsA/RA.   I would suggest the hollistic approach should also include the meds, otherwise, it's not really holistic is it?
