I have what seems to be a simple cyst at around 10cms big which I found out 3 weeks ago and I go back tomorrow to see them to see how they are going to operate and when. Also to get results from my bloods (tumor markers) and ct scan results. I already know my tumor markers blood test results as my GP had them and they came back in normal range.

Are you able to see anyone about this?

Hi holly yes I'm under a doctor now. Basically I had major bowel surgery and it's caused adhesions I also have endrometreosis. They are scared of doing more surgery because of my scar tissue. Let me no please how you get on. Do you get much pain x

I hope they manage to sort it all out for you.

Of course I'll let you know tomorrow afternoon.

Yes I get the following symptoms -

Pain right side (side of cyst)

      Pelvis pain

      Bloated tummy

Pain when going to the loo

      Lower back pain

Pain on right thigh at the top

I'll be glad once this is all over! I'm not sure if they will do key hole surgery but I doubt it due to its size 😞

Dreading what they are going to say tomorrow.

      Hey,

Umm it went ok thank you. They are operating which I already knew before hand that was going to be the case but wasn't sure of how they were going to do it.

My CT scan shows the same as my ultra sound did but it's 11cms in CT scan. I said to him about it being 9cms on ultra sound and he explained thats because when they do

Ultra sound they push down which doesn't measure it well.

He is taking my case to the cancer specialist at a diffrent    hosiptail just to get them to double checked all scans and results as the CT scan shows a solid part to the cyst but the surgeon guy who I saw yesterday has said he believes that is most likely my ovary so the solid part he thinks On scan is my ovary. But wants to get it double double checked which I understand but that has caused me to worry now.

After he said about another hospital looking at it all I asked him 'are we looking at it being cancerous or a simple cyst?' And he has said everything so far is reassureing and he said that if a family member was me and in my situation with my blood results and scan results that he would be really reassured with it all so far which that comment did really help me a lot yesterday.

I had to have another blood test part of tumor markers but he said for that to be raised my other tumor markers would be raised to if that makes sense??

He has said ideally he wanted to do keyhole just to take cyst but has said he might have to do open surgery to take cyst and my ovary... why would he need to take ovary??

He will ring me in the next 7-10 days to let me know how they will do the op as calling me is quicker than writing a letter.

My op is booked for 26th Feb.

I'm really worried about this solid part.

      What do you think?

      How are you??

I think sometimes the hospital can worry you. Most of the time thesevarnt cancerous and if it's a psuedocyst there arnt. I can understand your worry as I am same.

I cannot have open surgery due to all the previous surgery I have had. It would be too dangerous. They told me I will probably just have pain management. I'm sick of tablets. I have endrometreosis and crohns disease so more meds is no good for me. Please keep me updated when you can love. Stay strong and don't Google things cos they can put the jeepers up you xx

The guy yesterday said the solid part is most likely my ovary and he said that if it was a family member of his he would be reassured with all results so far
