ptsd and SPACE

Most who have ptsd ask for space from their partner

Can you please tell me how long is this space: weeks, month, or months

I have requested that my husband gives me my space...it's been over a year.  We are still together!!  We celebrated 20 years of marriage recently!  Stay supportive and hopeful.   smile

My husband has been my healer his brother my rapist.

    I didn't need space I needed patience & love.

he gave both at a very critical time.

I had to coach him & then he lead me to recovery.

He has sounded like my rapist and has looked like him we have worked through it all and have been together 27 years we renew our vows 2017 😊

Hi ya, my wife suffers from ptsd, she also asks for space . That's no hugs, no kisses and adult situations is also a big no no. Can last anything from a day to months.
