PTSD how to cope

I was diagnosed with ptsd, and general anxiety, it has totally taken over my life does anyone else deal with this and how? I was given zoloft but I'm scared to try antidepressants I've always heard the worst about them and it's only for ppl that's crazy but hell at this point I feel crazy, emotional, low energy, no desire for anything I use to be into, fearful, anxious all the time, sleepless, fear of dying, always think something is wrong health wise, these thoughts I can't stop or control them. I'm sad all the time I can't live my life

Please tell me it's not just ME? Need some answers

It's not just you it affects 1 out of 4 people. As far as it being for crazy people well I take celexa and I don't feel like I am going crazy anymore! Take the Zoloft life is to short to feel that way any longer!!!

I think I have just rplied somewhere else ??

Take your medications and see how you get on. It is important that you feel comfortable in your own skin. Take your AD Citalopram and give it time to work well, upwards of five weeks

You are suffering from a condition that needs speific treatments, some CBT may help you with coping exersises, Relaxation Techniques should help so ask your CPN or GP if that can be arranged for you

It is not just you. PTSD and generalised anxiety are what I struggle with too. And it is more common within friends and family than I thought....with people who I never would have thought. So we are not alone. I still am trying to deal with mine, so at the moment I can't really give you any strong advice there. Just talking about your experiences though with simeone who can relate and is goung or has gone through similar tomes tends to bring some calm (which is why I am on here too). Keep talking. x
