I quite often hear my heart beating, particularly when I am in bed.  I just put up with it, as I have no pain,  it is just annoying. I have suffered from mild tinnitus off and on for as long as I can remember.

This could be related to patulous eustachian tube. Some people report hearing their bodily functions, including heartbeat.

I remember in the nineteen seventies series Kung Fu with David Carradine, Grasshopper says to Master Po "How come you can hear your heart beat?" and Master Po replies "How come you can't?" I suppose since then it has not worried me!

Hi I have this problem also it started when I had a tympanoplasty done on my ear. I found out that it is a form of tinnitus. For me it comes and goes but when I do get it it's usually at night laying down.
