I can hear my heart beating in my left ear, mainly when I go to bed and when I wake up when everything is quiet, anyone else had this?

Hi.  I get the same, but I’ve an inner ear infection in both ears & when I mentioned it to Dr, he said it’s nothing to worry about..  maybe you have a lot of wax in an ear?  Hope this helps a little.  (Not making light of this, but, the GP added with a big smile, sure at least you know your heart is beating! ) at the time I didn’t find it funny, but I do now.  Feel better soon.

My problem started when I took a flight with a sinus infection, well I had to come home!   Didn’t know it would be a problem, so I’ve blocked Eustachian tubes & while I’m getting there both ears sound like squelching, crackling, but no pop yet, on a few tablets which are helping, but we are also waiting for nature to take its course,  hope you get sorted soon as.  Take care.

I've had this for 20+ years and I'm still alive.  Don't think it's anything to worry about if you have no other symptoms.  Try turning over, deep breathing, listening to the radio etc.

Hello Juju, I have had the same in the past. It is called "Vascular Tinnitus" or "Pulsatile tinnitus". Mine comes and goes.
