Puncture wound

So about 5 years ago I managed to get a piece of glass lodged in my back. Long story short I was drinking and horseplaying around and this piece of broken mirror 7 inches long found its way 1 inch below my lung.... they stiched me back up and the next morning I went back to work. Anyways I live in Sydney now and just started full time work as a kitchenhand, but now it's really hurting in that area for days.... I don't know if I should see a doctor or just suck it up and go back to work in couple of days. Any advice is good..

IF THE DOCTOR TOLD YOU THERE MAY BE THIS KIND OF PAIN POST OPERATIVELY THEN WAIT A DAY OR 2 BUT IF HE DID NOT MENTION IT THEN BY ALL MEANS CALL THE DOC TO SEE IF HE/SHE WANTS TO CHECK IT OUT.   GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW JOB.

Well like I said, It was 5 years ago, that and I was also heavily intoxicated when the incident occured. It seemed to hurt a lot last night but it was extremely cold... I also thought the continuous strain caused it to hurt a lot more
