Purple hands, fuzzy head, legs like rubber, exhaustion

Mum has a problem where she can't do much exercise at all without feeling exhausted and that her legs have turned to rubber. Exercise also leads to her hands turning purple and her head going fuzzy. When she is lying down she feels fine. She had myocarditis many years ago , but she has had an echocardiogram and a scan and the heart seems okay. She is now waiting for the results of a chest x-ray and multiple blood tests. She unfortunately got a virus from me 3 months ago and that brought on the exhaustion and hence has made her housebound, but she had all the other symptoms prior to the virus. She also coughs a lot. Any ideas would be hugely appreciated. She will be 75 in August.
